Jaden Purvis, a 23-year-old male, was killed in the Norwood section of the Bronx in the first minutes of Monday, June 8, 2026, after gunfire erupted near East 207th Street and Decatur Avenue. Police were called to the intersection at about 12:08 a.m. for a report of an assault, and officers found Purvis suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. EMS took him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
