On a Sunday afternoon in Kansas City, Kansas, the quiet of the Forest Glenn Estates apartments was shattered by the sound of gunfire. It was just after 3 p.m. on May 3, 2026, when police were dispatched to an apartment in the 6300 block of Sandusky Avenue. Inside the residence, they discovered the wounded body of 34-year-old James Thomas. He had been shot multiple times.
