In the quiet neighborhood of Rosedale in Kansas City, Kansas, the life of a young Hispanic/Latino male was tragically cut short on the evening of September 26, 2020. Fifteen-year-old Luis Velasquez-Chavez was found in the street on the 4400 block of Adams Street with life-threatening injuries. The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department responded to a call regarding a shooting at approximately 6 p.m. and discovered the teenager suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
