A 29 year old woman is found along the shoulder of Meadowbrook Parkway In the late summer of 1989, a sense of dread settled over the family of Carmen Vargas. The 29-year-old Hispanic woman had vanished from her East Harlem neighborhood, leaving behind a void filled with unanswered questions. Her family, refusing to let her memory fade, put up posters and tirelessly searched for any sign of her.
