In the late hours of a Friday night in Edgewood, Maryland, tragedy struck a local family. Bryan H. Burrows Jr., a 20-year-old male, was killed in a shooting on April 4, 2026. The incident, which also left another man injured, unfolded around 11:15 p.m. near Grempler Way and Brookside Drive. Harford County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to the scene following reports of gunfire and quickly located a 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his shoulder and neck area.
He was conscious and breathing when deputies arrived and was subsequently transported to a Baltimore-area trauma center for treatment.
While attending to the first victim, deputies were alerted to another individual lying in the street on the 1900 block of Eloise Lane, less than 1,000 feet away. There, they found Bryan H. Burrows Jr. unconscious and not breathing, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Despite the immediate medical aid rendered by the deputies and the efforts of emergency medical services who arrived shortly after, Burrows was pronounced dead at the scene. His girlfriend described him as a very kind-hearted, loving, and motivated young man.
The Harford County Sheriff's Office has stated that the shooting appears to be an isolated incident, as the individuals involved were known to each other. Investigators are still working to piece together the events that led to the shooting. While there is no indication that the two men were shooting at each other, authorities have confirmed that other people were present at the time of the incident, though not all were involved. As of the initial reports, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
