On September 17, 1998, 23-year-old Frederick Pagliaro was shot and killed in Yonkers, New York. Pagliaro, who worked as a cab driver and enjoyed playing pool, was standing outside a vehicle in a parking lot on Caryl Avenue with a female companion. At around 4:43 a.m., an unknown male approached the couple and opened fire.
