On a summer evening in Yonkers, New York, the life of 19-year-old Elias Flores was cut short by a single gunshot. On August 10, 2016, Flores was brought to the emergency room of St. Joseph's Medical Center with a gunshot wound. The individual who dropped him off did not remain at the hospital, leaving a veil of mystery over the circumstances of the shooting. Within an hour of his arrival, Elias Flores was pronounced dead.
