In the spring of 2026, the life of 22-year-old John William Westly Stroud was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting. On the afternoon of April 22nd, in the Minneapolis suburb of Edina, Stroud was found with gunshot wounds outside the 66 West apartment building, a facility providing housing for young adults facing homelessness. Despite the efforts of first responders, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
