On a spring afternoon in Minneapolis, a senseless act of violence cut short the life of Christopher Stephano Bennett, a 32-year-old Black man. The incident unfolded on April 18, 2023, on the 1800 block of Nicollet Avenue in the Stevens Square neighborhood. Responding to reports of gunfire, police discovered Bennett lying unconscious in the street, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound to the head.
