On the afternoon of Sunday, March 15, 2026, a young man's life was tragically cut short in the parking lot of a Belleville, Illinois, shopping center. Montavion Conrad, a 20-year-old resident of Belleville, was fatally shot around 3:50 p.m. in the 5800 block of Belleville Crossing. He was an employee at the Qdoba restaurant located in the strip mall where the incident occurred.
