Kenneth Lanman, a 3-year-old boy, was tragically murdered on September 27, 1989, in his home near Belleville, Illinois. Kenneth, along with his mother, Jolaine Lanman, was found dead by his father, John Lanman, upon returning home that evening. Both victims had suffered blunt trauma to the head and stab wounds to the neck. A pair of scissors was found protruding from Jolaine's neck. Kenneth Lanman was a young Caucasian boy whose life was cut short in a brutal and senseless act of violence.
