James Gilson, a 28-year-old man from Sanford, FL, died on July 18, 2017, from a gunshot wound to the chest. The incident occurred at the Wyndham Place apartment complex. According to reports, the altercation began over a disagreement involving a cigar and escalated when Joseph Irwin, 33, accused Gilson of attempting to sexually assault his girlfriend.
