Christopher Lamar Houston, 21, male, left the warmth of a Sunday evening in Sanford, Florida, and stepped into an intersection where the air was thick with the small sounds of a neighborhood—tires on pavement, voices on porches—until gunfire broke the rhythm. Shortly before 6:30 p.m. on June 8, 2025, the 21-year-old arrived at HCA Lake Monroe with multiple gunshot wounds after a shooting near 12th Street and Pecan Avenue. He would not survive the injuries he suffered that night.
