Derek Williams, a 28-year-old resident of Sanford, Florida, tragically lost his life on September 8, 2018, in a shooting incident outside Mama Coot's Bar in the historic Goldsboro neighborhood. The incident occurred during the early hours of the morning, following an altercation inside the bar. Witnesses reported that the altercation began when someone knocked a cup out of Williams' hand, escalating into a physical confrontation.
