On October 22, 2023, 16-year-old JaMarcus Decameron "JP" Parker was fatally shot at the Stratford Point Apartments in Sanford, Florida. The incident occurred around 5:45 p.m. Parker was socializing with friends in the apartment complex's parking lot when two individuals approached and opened fire. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
