Joshua Hur, a 63-year-old Korean-American store owner from Sanford, FL, was tragically killed on December 23, 2015. On that evening, Hur was on his way to an evening service at Green Hill Church when he was robbed and shot multiple times outside his convenience store, Kim’s Food Store. The incident occurred around 7:11 PM, and police believe the motive was robbery, as the assailants were likely aware of Hur's routine and the money he had made that day.
