In the early hours of Saturday, March 7, 2026, the life of 28-year-old Codey Antoine Garrard was cut short in a burst of gunfire on the northeast side of Indianapolis. The shooting, which occurred around 1:00 a.m. in the 4100 block of Edgemere Court, was the culmination of a dispute that shattered the morning's quiet and left a community in mourning.
