In the late hours of February 11, 2026, the Vicksburg Police Department received an E-911 call that would lead to the start of a homicide investigation. Responding to the call at approximately 11:16 p.m., officers were dispatched to Highway 61 South near Demby Drive. There they discovered a vehicle that had been involved in a crash, and inside, they found 18-year-old Jaylon Walker, a male from Hermanville, Mississippi.
