In the evening hours of Wednesday, February 11, 2026, a report of an injured person led Kansas City police to the 1500 block of E. 59th Terrace. There, they found 28-year-old Jamon Norfleet suffering from a gunshot wound. Before being transported to a local hospital, Norfleet was able to tell officers that he had been shot at a nearby apartment complex in the 6000 block of Blue Hills Road. Critically, he also identified the man he said was responsible for his injuries: Lucas Willingham.
