In the early evening of Tuesday, March 10, 2026, the life of 21-year-old Richaud Conley was tragically cut short in Kansas City, Missouri. Officers from the Kansas City Police Department were dispatched to the area of 55th and Chestnut Avenue shortly before 6 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered a grim scene. Conley was found lying unresponsive in a grassy area, having sustained life-threatening injuries from gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical services
were promptly called to the scene, and Conley was rushed to a nearby hospital in a desperate attempt to save his life. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, he was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The Kansas City Police Department has since launched a homicide investigation into the shooting death of the young man.
Detectives are actively working to piece together the events that led to the fatal shooting.
