Marilee Bruszer, a 33-year-old woman from Long Beach, California, went missing on August 22, 1978. Her body was discovered on September 3, 1978, near Yuba Lake in Juab County, Utah. However, due to challenges in identification, her remains were not linked to her identity until 2015, nearly forty years later. The initial investigation was hampered by incorrect physical descriptions and the distance between where she was last seen and where her body was found. The case remained cold for decades, classified as an unidentified "Jane Doe," until new advances in DNA testing helped to solve her identity.
