On August 30, 2010, Heather Broadus, aged 27, was found deceased on the sidewalk in front of a residence on the 300 block of East 56th Street in Long Beach, California. Broadus had been shot in the upper torso, and her body was discovered early in the morning by a passerby who called 911. Authorities believe she may have been shot the previous evening. The motive for the killing remains unclear, and police have not identified any suspects in the case.
