In the early morning hours of Saturday, January 24, 2026, the life of 32-year-old Trey Matthew Jiles was tragically cut short in Montgomery, Alabama. He was a victim of gun violence in what has been marked as the city's first homicide of the year. The incident unfolded around 3:30 a.m. near the intersection of St. James and South Streets, in close proximity to Interstate 85.
