In the early morning hours of a Sunday in Montgomery, Alabama, a dispute between two men escalated into a fatal encounter. On June 18, 2017, 23-year-old Deunte Rogers was shot and killed in the 500 block of East South Boulevard. The incident, which stemmed from an argument, cut short the life of the young man.
Investigators quickly identified a suspect in the shooting. The day after the incident, law enforcement arrested 38-year-old Frank Pollard Jr. in connection with Rogers' death.
Pollard was subsequently charged with murder.
Following his arrest, Frank Pollard Jr. was taken to the Montgomery County Detention Facility. A bond for his release was set at $150,000 as he awaited legal proceedings for the murder of Deunte Rogers.
