On January 29, 2026, in the small town of Bridgeport, Illinois, 37-year-old Omni Danielle Hooker died in her home on Washington Street from a fatal gunshot wound. A devoted mother and passionate educator, her death prompted an immediate investigation by local law enforcement. The Bridgeport Police Department requested the assistance of the Illinois State Police to look into the circumstances surrounding her death.
