In the early hours of January 3, 2026, a burst of gunfire outside a banquet hall in Temple Hills, Maryland, left three men dead, including 33-year-old Pierre Davis of Washington, D.C. The violence erupted around 2:10 a.m. in the 4300 block of St. Barnabas Road, where officers arrived to find the three victims in the parking lot. Davis, along with 26-year-old Kevon Medley Williams, also from Washington, D.C., and 27-year-old Ronez Proctor of Waldorf, were all pronounced dead at the scene.
An extensive investigation by the Prince George's County Homicide Unit, which involved reviewing surveillance footage, analyzing ballistic evidence, and conducting multiple interviews, painted a grim picture of the events that transpired. According to the preliminary findings, Davis and another man, 39-year-old Antonio Lancaster of the Landover area, were in the parking lot and armed. For reasons that are still under investigation, Lancaster allegedly opened fire on Proctor and Williams. In the ensuing chaos, Davis and Williams are believed to have exchanged gunfire, resulting in both of their deaths.
Following the shooting, Lancaster fled the scene but was located and taken into custody in Fairfax County, Virginia, the next day through a coordinated effort between the PGPD's Fugitive Unit and the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force. Lancaster is facing charges of first and second-degree murder in connection with the death of Ronez Proctor and for shooting at Kevon Medley Williams. Authorities have indicated that the suspect and the deceased individuals were known to each other, though a definitive motive for the initial shooting has not yet been released. Lancaster is currently awaiting extradition back to Prince George's County to face the charges against him.
