Alonzo James Guyton, a 24-year-old Howard University student, was tragically killed on October 25, 2011, in Mount Rainier, Maryland. Guyton, who was a former Marine and a freshman music major at Howard University, was shot during an apparent robbery attempt. The incident occurred in the 4200 block of Kaywood Drive, where police found Guyton suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to a local hospital.
