In the early morning hours of January 3, 2026, a violent altercation outside a banquet hall in Temple Hills, Maryland, claimed the life of 26-year-old Kevon Medley Williams of Washington, D.C. The incident, which unfolded around 2:10 a.m. in the 4300 block of St. Barnabas Road, also resulted in the deaths of two other men, 33-year-old Pierre Davis, also of Washington, D.C., and 27-year-old Ronez Proctor of Waldorf.
According to the Prince George's County Police Department, the shooting
stemmed from a dispute at a birthday party held at the venue. A preliminary investigation, which included a review of surveillance footage and ballistic evidence, suggests that the incident began when 39-year-old Antonio Lancaster of the Landover area, who was with Davis in the parking lot, allegedly opened fire on Proctor and Williams. In the ensuing chaos, Williams and Davis are believed to have exchanged gunfire, fatally wounding each other.
Following the initial exchange, authorities allege that Proctor attempted to assist Williams but was pushed to the ground during a struggle with other individuals at the party. It is at this point that Lancaster is accused of approaching Proctor and shooting him at close range before fleeing the scene. All three men were pronounced dead at the location. Investigators believe that Lancaster and the three deceased men were known to each other, though a definitive motive for the initial shooting remains under investigation.
A coordinated effort between the Prince George's County Police Department's Fugitive Unit and the U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force led to the apprehension of Antonio Lancaster in Fairfax County, Virginia, on the Sunday following the shooting. He was taken into custody and is currently awaiting extradition to Prince George's County, where he faces charges of first and second-degree murder in connection with the death of Ronez Proctor, as well as for shooting at Kevon Medley Williams. Police recovered two handguns from the scene and are searching for a third weapon believed to be involved.
