In Vicksburg, Mississippi, the life of 52-year-old Daphine Reed, a Black/African American female, was tragically cut short on January 5, 2026, in what police have described as a domestic violence incident. Officers from the Vicksburg Police Department discovered her body alongside that of her husband inside their home on South Street.
Authorities were initially dispatched to the residence to conduct a welfare check after a family member expressed concern about not having heard from a loved one. Upon their arrival just before noon, officers found the front door of the home open.
