In the early morning hours of June 18, 2022, violence shattered the quiet of a Paterson, New Jersey street, leading to the untimely death of 34-year-old Tiheen Smith. At approximately 5:06 a.m., members of the Paterson Police Department were alerted that a man, later identified as Smith, had arrived at St. Joseph's Hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Despite medical efforts, Smith succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 12:22 p.m. that day.
