In the early morning hours of December 9, 2025, a violent incident occurred in the East Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, resulting in the death of 56-year-old Mark M. Easley, an African American man and resident of the Garfield area. Just before 2:00 a.m., Pittsburgh police officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of East Hills Drive after receiving reports of gunfire in the vicinity.
