On the afternoon of December 23, 2025, a violent dispute unfolded in a parking lot in Mobile, Alabama, leading to the tragic death of an elderly resident. Officers from the Mobile Police Department were dispatched to the 2300 block of St. Stephens Road following reports of an assault in progress. Upon their arrival at the scene, they discovered 81-year-old Charles Edward, a male victim, lying unresponsive on the ground.
Emergency medical personnel immediately transported him to a local hospital for urgent care, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
Detectives launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and determined that the victim had been involved in a physical altercation with another man in the parking lot.
