In the Walnut Park East neighborhood of St. Louis, a burst of gunfire shattered the afternoon quiet on November 3, 2025, leaving a man for dead in the street. The victim was later identified as 39-year-old Javon Carter, a male resident of St. Louis city. First responders, arriving at the intersection of Prange and Genevieve avenues shortly after 3:15 p.m., found Carter lying in the street with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
