Desmond Scott, 33, male, was shot in broad daylight on a Saturday in Wilmington's Browntown neighborhood, the violence erupting along the unit block of Stroud Street and shattering an otherwise ordinary afternoon. Neighbors heard the rapid crack of gunfire, and when officers arrived, they found Scott gravely wounded. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where his injuries proved fatal.
