Devonte Redmond, 29, male, was found unresponsive outside the Columbia Garden Apartments at 4000 Plowden Road shortly before 1:30 a.m. on October 15, 2025, after reports of gunfire. Officers performed CPR until EMS arrived, but he was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound. The Richland County Coroner’s Office identified him later that day, confirming his age and residence in Columbia.
