In the quiet evening of February 22, 2015, in Columbia, South Carolina, the life of 17-year-old James Edward Nathan Jr. was tragically cut short. The young man, known to his friends and family as 'Jay,' was the victim of a drive-by shooting on Windy Drive. When Richland County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene around 9:45 PM, they found Nathan with gunshot wounds to his upper body. Despite the efforts of first responders, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
