On the night of June 28, 2025, 24-year-old woman Aleisha Cabrera from Abilene, Texas, was found shot to death inside an apartment in the 2600 block of Ivanhoe Lane. Officers were called just before 11 p.m.; they discovered 24-year-old Aleisha Cabrera inside with fatal gunshot wounds. A young daughter was in the home and was placed in the care of Child Protective Services.
