In the early evening of May 25, 2021, the life of 22-year-old Charlize 'Charli' Logan, a Black female from Louisville, Kentucky, was tragically cut short. Gunshots shattered the peace in the Chickasaw neighborhood, and when Louisville Metro Police Department officers responded to a call around 6 p.m. in the 1200 block of South 41st Street, they found Charlize suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Paramedics rushed her to the University of Louisville Hospital in a desperate attempt to
save her life, but her injuries proved too severe, and she succumbed to them shortly after her arrival. The following day, the Jefferson County Coroner's Office officially identified Charlize Logan as the victim. The cause of her death was determined to be the multiple gunshot wounds she sustained in the attack.
In the wake of the shooting, investigators from the Louisville Metro Police Department began the arduous task of piecing together the events that led to Charlize's untimely death. Despite their efforts and a public appeal for information, no immediate suspects were identified in connection with the homicide. Authorities have urged anyone with knowledge of the shooting to contact their anonymous tip line at 574-LMPD, but as of now, no arrests have been made.
