In the early hours of June 29, 2025, Black male, Marquis Darrnell Green, 41, a man from San Antonio, stepped out into the breezeway of an East Side apartment complex in the 1500 block of Upland Drive. What began as a tense argument with another man over suspected stolen property spilled from an apartment doorway into the corridor, where a struggle over a handgun unfolded.
