Jose Gregorio Yanez-Nava, 40, a Hispanic/Latino male, was shot to death on the Northwest Side of San Antonio in the early hours of Sunday, September 14, 2025. The Bexar County Medical Examiner identified him two days later and determined he died from a gunshot wound to the torso after the attack at the Casa Del Sol Apartments in the 7800 block of Callaghan Road. Family told Spanish-language media he was originally from Venezuela, underscoring the loss felt both locally and abroad.
