On the afternoon of December 15, 2025, a tragic incident unfolded at the Tigoni Villas Apartments on the Northwest Side of San Antonio, Texas, claiming the life of Desmond Evans II, a 19-year-old male. The events began during what was intended to be a casual gathering among friends. Evans was inside an apartment unit near the intersection of West Sunshine Drive and Bloomfield Drive, spending time with a group of people who were playing video games.

According to preliminary reports from the San Antonio Police Department, a witness in the room attempted to hand a pistol to Evans. During the exchange, the weapon accidentally discharged, striking him in the torso.
