Andres Canas, a 23-year-old male from Agua Dulce, Texas, was found shot to death just after noon on July 10, 2025, inside the men's restroom at Bobby Ray and Opal A. Younts Park. A woman traveling through town stopped to use the facilities and discovered his body, prompting a call to authorities. Investigators with the Nueces County Sheriff's Office arrived to find Canas had suffered a fatal gunshot wound, and they immediately opened a homicide investigation.
