Anzoni Zuniga-Garcia, 33, a man from Houston, was shot to death on the night of September 6, 2025, in a strip-center parking lot in the 7200 block of Bissonnet Street near Fondren Road.
Officers responding around 10:10 p.m. found him unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Moments before the shooting, witnesses and police say Anzoni Zuniga-Garcia, 33, had been arguing with his girlfriend in the lot and then walked away toward the
street.
A dark-colored Ford SUV pulled up; someone stepped out, fired several shots at the 33-year-old man, and then climbed back into the SUV before it sped off.
His girlfriend rushed to try to help, but the 33-year-old man died where he fell, the violence unfolding in an instant that left the parking lot stunned and silent.
According to investigators, early evidence suggested the shooter was not part of the couple's dispute, and as of the initial reports there was no known motive.
No arrests had been announced, and detectives asked anyone with information to contact the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers, underscoring how the case hinged on tips and surveillance that might reveal the SUV and the person who stepped out to kill Anzoni Zuniga-Garcia, 33.
