On August 8, 2018, John Franklin Edwards, a 35-year-old African American male from Houston, Texas, was found deceased inside the doorway of his north Houston home. His pickup truck was missing from the scene. Born on October 14, 1982, to William Jerald and Deborah Jean Edwards, John was known for his dedication to family and his passion for chess and sports.
