On May 6, 2024, 21-year-old Sherwin Mireles was fatally shot in east Harris County, Houston, Texas. The incident occurred around 5 a.m. at a property located on Brownsville Street, known in the community as a chop shop—a site for dismantling stolen vehicles and distributing their parts.
