On August 4, 2019, Jose Armas, a 33-year-old Hispanic male from Houston, Texas, was fatally shot in a business parking lot at 6742 Hillcroft Avenue. The incident occurred around 3:05 p.m. and was the result of a road rage altercation. Witnesses reported that Armas and the suspect, described as a Hispanic male in his 20s with a short haircut, were involved in a heated exchange when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot Armas.
