Alec Morrow was a 20-year-old Black male from southeast Houston, Texas. On the morning of December 29, 2019, after finishing a late-night shift working as a nightclub security guard, he was driven home by someone in a dark-colored sedan. His mother had previously driven him to work the evening before, and family members reported he had joyfully proposed to his girlfriend prior to leaving for work that night.
