Gerald Wayne Harris, a 59-year-old homeless man, was found with a gunshot wound in the parking lot of a Lake Highlands shopping center in Dallas, Texas, on August 19, 2019. Police responded to a call of shots fired at around 12:12 a.m. and discovered Harris injured. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Witnesses in the area mentioned that Harris, who was homeless, mostly kept to himself.
