Cain Alvarez, an 8-year-old Hispanic boy, tragically died on September 20, 2013, in Rice, Texas. His death was part of a devastating incident that claimed the lives of his entire family. The Navarro County Sheriff's Office determined that the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide carried out by Cain's mother, Guadalupe Ronquillo-Ovalle, who also killed her husband, Israel Alvarez, and their other two sons, aged 10 and 4.
