James Simmons, a 42-year-old Black man from Galveston, Texas, was fatally shot on the morning of September 15, 2025. The incident occurred in the 2900 block of CT Street, a neighborhood known for its challenges with street violence. Authorities responded to the scene early that day, finding Simmons with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
